Call for Papers: Journal of Legal Research and Analysis (JLRA)

Journal of Legal Research and Analysis (JLRA) is a peer reviewed quarterly journal (Print) in English for the enhancement of research in various discipline of Law. Journal of Legal Research and Analysis (JLRA) offers a common platform to scholars of all disciplines to circulate their scholastic inter-disciplinary researches and their impact in the socio-economic as well as sociolegal aspects of human lives and as well to bring it to the knowledge among the mass myriad readers.

The Editorial Board is committed to ensure to its readers to heighten the scales of inter-disciplinary researchers in its circulation on regular intervention. Manuscripts for publication in JLRA are selected through rigorous peer reviews to ensure originality, timeliness, relevance, and readability.   

Vol 1 Issue 2 

We welcome submissions from academicians, practitioners, students, researchers and experts from and within the legal community.

The submissions must also contain an abstract of the submission written in not more than 250 words. 


  1. Articles (3000-5000 words, inclusive of footnotes): Articles must provide a complete analysis of the area of law which the author seeks to highlight. It must contain a comprehensive study of the existing law, indicating the lacunae therein, and must contain an attempt to suggest possible changes which can address the said lacunae.
  1. Essays (2000- 3000 words exclusive of footnotes): An essay is more adventurous as it challenges existing paradigms/norms and provides a fresh outlook to common problems. Essays are considerably more concise than articles, in terms of scope and conceptualization.
  1. Legislative and Policy Review (2000-3000 words): A critical analysis of any legislation or policy in India. Advocacy for need of a Law or Policy or Amendments in any Law or Policy in India.
  1. Book Reviews (1500-2000 words, inclusive of footnotes): Book Reviews may be solicited and unsolicited pieces which critically examine a book released within the two years preceding the release of the current issue of the ESLJ. The book review shall entail an examination of ideas promoted by the author of the book from the point of view of originality, extent of analysis and tenability. Book Reviews shall describe the subject of the review clearly, including the name of the book, the name of the author, the name of the publisher, the date of publication, and, the edition number if applicable.
  1. Case Notes (2500-4000 words, inclusive of footnotes): Submissions in this category would include a comprehensive analysis of any judicial pronouncement relevant to contemporary developments in relation with telecommunication and broadcasting industry. It should provide an analysis of the law prior to the ruling as well as subsequent to it. Any inconsistencies with the ruling should be highlighted.
  1. Legislative Comments (2000 – 3000 words, inclusive of footnotes): The legislation should be analyzed with a view to provide the background, objectives and main provisions of the legislation to the readers. The comments must be objective in reporting facts and provisions. A section may be devoted to list down possible problems with the legislation

or inconsistencies with other laws for further debate. Government surveys, committee reports and data from national and international organization’s should be sourced for facts and figures.Page Break


The authors are duly expected to follow the prescribed guidelines:

  1. The author/s shall submit the article on A4 size paper length.
  1. The submission shall be in MS Word format strictly.
  1. The Main Text font shall be in Times New Roman of font size 12, with Spacing of 1.5.
  1. The footnotes to be in Times New Roman of font size 10, with Spacing 1.
  1. End notes are not to be used.
  1. FOOTNOTES:  Font – Times New Roman; Font size -10; Spacing – Every Footnote shall be single spaced, but there shall be double spacing between two different Footnotes.
  1. Articles found plagiarized will be summarily rejected.
  1. Citation Format: Citations included in the submitted articles should conform to SILC: Standard Indian Legal Citation 

DEADLINE: The last date for submission of manuscripts is 31st October, 2015.
